The Flying Rescue Boat combines aerial flight with surface navigation: it flies to the casualty, lands on water, sails to the person and tows them back to shore or to the vessel. It removes the need for rescuers to enter the water, greatly improving both rescue speed and rescuer safety in flood and offshore incidents.
