Chengdu Bus Co., Ltd.

Chengdu Bus Co., Ltd. (Shudu Bus), founded in 1952, has spent seven decades on the research, development, manufacturing and promotion of energy-saving and new energy vehicles, and has grown into a bus and special vehicle manufacturer with an annual capacity of 8,000 new energy buses, special vehicles and chassis. The full "Shudu" range covers natural gas (CNG/LNG), pure electric, fuel cell and hybrid power, serving highway, public transport, commuting, tourism, urban logistics and environmental sanitation applications. Cumulative output has exceeded 50,000 gas buses and 10,000 new energy buses. Capabilities include a vehicle cathodic electrocoating workshop with 8,000 buses of annual capacity, a national first-class gas engine laboratory, heavy chassis dynamometer and vehicle road simulation laboratory, plus materials, salt spray, vibration, high and low temperature, engine, battery system and fuel cell system laboratories, all supported by CAE simulation and digital body design. The all-aluminium lightweight body cuts vehicle weight by up to 10%, lowers fuel consumption by 5-6%, extends driving range by more than 20% and reaches 95% recyclability with a service life of over 15 years. Health and epidemic prevention technology delivers air purification 27 times per hour, UV disinfection, antibacterial interior, infrared body temperature monitoring and micron-level dry mist dust suppression. Shudu rolled out its 9 m hydrogen fuel cell bus in October 2017 and has more than 250 fuel cell buses in operation.
